To learn more about your friendly neighborhood band and orchestra teachers and see instrument demos, visit our website

Any student interested in playing an instrument in grades 4, 5, and 6 can sign up for instrument lessons, regardless of experience level (we love beginners!). Lessons are free and will take place once a week during regular school hours. We are also pleased to announce the return to weekly band and orchestra ensemble rehearsals, which will also take place during the regular school day in addition to small group lessons.

Families can rent their own instrument from a local music store (such as Gerry’s Music Shop or Stamell Stringed Instruments), or they can borrow from the school for a small fee. If you are not sure where you get your child an instrument, please contact us. We’ll be happy to steer you in the right direction.

Enrollment for the band/orchestra program for 2022-2023 is closed

If you have any questions or concerns about our program, do not hesitate to contact us. We’re looking forward to getting started!

Sincerely,

Heather Samson, samsonh@arps.org (Amherst/Pelham Orchestra)

Estimados estudiantes y familias,

¡Estamos deseando empezar!

Atentamente,

Heather Samson, samsonh@arps.org (Orquesta de Amherst/Pelham)

Ariel Templeton, templetona@arps.org (Banda de Amherst)

Lincoln Smith, smithl1@arps.org (Banda de Pelham)
