Local Vocal Chord Bowl – A Cappella Benefit Concert

Come out to hear some amazing a cappella music and support a great cause! The Local Vocal Chord Bowl, now celebrating its 14th year, is a community fundraiser concert produced by the Green Street Brew featuring contemporary a cappella groups from a variety of age groups. All proceeds will be divided between the music programs at Northampton High School and Amherst Regional High School.

Set for Saturday, April 5th at 7 p.m. in the Amherst Regional High School auditorium, this year’s concert will showcase an exciting mix of high school, college, and adult groups, including the Northamptones, the ARHS Hurricane Singers, the ARHS Chorale, the NHS Chamber Singers, the UMASS Vocal Suspects, the Smiffenpoofs, Ujima Singers (from Northampton Community Music Center), and the Green Street Brew. Doors will open at 6:30.

Suggested donation amounts are as follows. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.

Adults: $15.00
Students (13 years and up) and Seniors: $10.00
Children 12 and under: Free

About the FPA

The ARPS Friends of Performing Arts (FPA) is a parent and guardian booster group for the performing arts program of the Amherst Regional Public Schools.  We are incorporated as a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit in order to process donations and contributions to the classrooms and school. We also provide travel logistics assistance for the bi-annual student travel trips outside of Massachusetts. To meet these needs, we provide volunteer time, fundraising activities and outreach in support of the Teacher and Student events.
