Parent and Guardian Support of the ARPS Performing Arts Program
The FPA has worked over the last few years to focus on a few types of support for the ARPS Performing Arts Program.
Current areas of support include; the bi-annual travel trip, equipment purchases, volunteer support at student events, special event support when students perform in public places, donation management, fundraising and program support for the K-12 Performing Arts classes.
The FPA was formed as a parent and guardian run non-profit to provide organizational support for the more challenging Performing Arts travel trips which occur every other year. In addition, the parents and guardians of the FPA have taken on fundraising activities to support all the student programs directly. Currently the FPA is looking for more fundraising ideas and more volunteers to organize teacher support activities. Another FPA goal is to provide parents and guardians with the easiest possible media access to student performance information, local performing arts events and academic links.

The ARPS Performing Arts teachers need all kinds of support. During shows, they need volunteers to support ticket sales, stage logistics, parent and guardian outreach, equipment, and special event planning. All these efforts are in support of the unique set of needs for the different Performing Arts programs. The FPA tries to provide financial support, volunteer support or planning support depending on the particular program need. We appreciate everything that each teacher does all year to keep the Performing Arts program available for our students!
